Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to identify their physical capabilities, limitations, and specific therapy needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing strength, mobility, and overall functional ability.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and assistive devices, to address identified physical impairments.
• Maintain precise documentation of residents' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans that address both physical and holistic well-being.
• Deliver educational support to residents and their families, equipping them with effective home exercise programs and health maintenance strategies.
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as maintain professional standards in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Oasis Physical Therapy, our clientele primarily consists of residents within skilled nursing facilities, many of whom belong to the geriatric population. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with clients experiencing diverse physical challenges, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, and age-related mobility issues. Your efforts will significantly contribute to enhancing their independence and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Bachelor's Degree or a higher advanced degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably with a focus on geriatric care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or comparable rehabilitation environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
