Director, Business Development - Authorized Generics

General Purpose of Position:Responsible for developing connections and business relationships with brand clients for licensing brand products for authorized generics commercialization.Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):Duties/Responsibilities1Work with internal departments to quantify/qualify AG opportunities2Continually monitor market conditions to identify potential AG opportunities3Present company AG model to key contacts within brand companies4Serve as a resource to other internal departments (Sales, Marketing, etc)5Identify, target, contact, and develop business relationships with key people within brand pharmaceutical companies6Conduct follow-up communications with brand companiesTravel:Position may require 15-25% travelWork Shift:This position works days. Monday – Friday. Onsite in Mason, OHKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Working knowledge of brand pharmaceuticals and a growing knowledge of the generic pharmaceutical businessExpertise in verbal and written communication skillsAbility to learn and adapt to demands in a fast-paced work environment.Experience and competency in relationship-building, facilitation, and negotiation skillsAbility to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree. MBA or other master’s degree a plus.5-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industryPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of timeExtended viewing of computer screens and manual dexterity to operate office equipmentRequired to sit, talk, see and hear. Occasionally required to walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate computerMust have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgmentThe work environment is indoors.
