Job Description
Title
Cardiac / Cardiovascular ICU RN (Adult)

Schedule
- Shift: Nights
- Contract Length: 36 hours/week
- Weekend expectation: Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; minimum 4 per 4-week block
- Rotation occurs every 4 weeks

Assignment Details
- Estimated patient ratios: 1:1-2

Requirements
- 2 years of Cardiac ICU experience preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- EMR: Epic experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult cardiac ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including managing IV therapy and vasoactive medications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with procedures and care related to advanced cardiac devices such as ECMO and VADs.
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatment options, and care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.

- Orientation: 36 hours
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
- 1 pre-approved time off per contract
- Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start
