Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in high-volume accounts payable? Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in Nashville on a contract-to-hire basis. This role focuses on vendor setup, invoice processing, and reconciliations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with teams, and supporting efficient AP operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Process and enter invoices accurately and on time, including both PO and non-PO workflows
• Reconcile vendor statements and quickly resolve discrepancies
• Manage vendor setup and validation to ensure accurate and compliant information
• Support ACH payment setup and maintenance for vendors
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on payment or invoice issues
• Maintain organized documentation for audits and reporting purposes
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
• Ensure all AP tasks are performed in accordance with company policies and controls
• Assist with additional accounting or administrative projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or related experience, preferably in high-volume environments
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with AP/ERP systems a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
