Work Environment

This position is an onsite role within a school setting, where you will engage daily with a diverse patient population comprising children and adolescents. The typical workweek consists of 40 hours, from Monday to Friday, beginning at 5:00 PM. You will work collaboratively in a supportive environment with other healthcare professionals, facilitating a team-oriented approach to patient care that enhances both efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Heart Care Center PC, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and assessing patient medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood work and X-rays to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnosing a range of health conditions and formulating comprehensive treatment plans.
• Prescribing medications and managing chronic conditions with an evidence-based approach.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educating patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
• Promoting health practices among patients to reduce risk factors for chronic diseases.
• Participating in professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on pediatric patients within the school environment, providing tailored healthcare solutions that address the unique needs of children and their families. You will play a key role in guiding young patients and their guardians toward healthier lifestyle choices and greater health literacy.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you will need the following qualifications:

• A valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license with ANP/FNP certification.
• Master’s degree in nursing, specializing in Nurse Practitioner studies.
• A valid DEA number for prescribing medications.
• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in clinical settings such as hospitals, urgent care, or primary care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your profile:

• Specialization in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, or family health.
• Bilingual proficiency, which would facilitate communication with a diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
