We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team at Periscope Spine and Joint Rehab Center, located in the heart of Lakewood, New Jersey. Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Facility operates onsite in Lakewood, NJ, where you will work directly with a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) in a supportive and dynamic setting. Your work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that promotes balance between professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish the needs and objectives of each patient within an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, seeing approximately one patient per hour, while ensuring high quality of care and attention.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based practices to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to enhance patient mobility and alleviate discomfort.
• Engage in continuous progress assessment and documentation, maintaining detailed records for each patient's treatment history and response to therapy.
• Foster patient motivation and engagement, encouraging adherence to recommended exercise regimens and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Advocate for the health and well-being of each patient by minimizing reliance on medications and promoting alternative therapeutic solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will address a diverse set of conditions, from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management, employing effective strategies to enhance recovery and functional performance. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a high standard of physical therapy practice.
• Active certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey with a clean professional record.
• Proven experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy, showcasing your ability to manage and treat a variety of conditions effectively.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise design.

Preferred Experience

• Experience navigating Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software platforms, such as WebPT, to facilitate streamlined documentation and reporting.
• Prior engagement in motivational interviewing techniques to promote patient engagement and adherence to therapy regimens.
• Specialized training in patient-centered care methodologies that enhance treatment efficacy and patient satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
