Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapeutic care for assigned patients in partnership with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated treatment approaches.
• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients' conditions, utilizing clinically validated methods to establish customized treatment plans aimed at achieving specific rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions while adapting techniques and modalities to address the unique needs of various patients.
• Regularly monitor and assess patient progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize recovery.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on effective rehabilitation practices, including the use of adaptive devices and prescribed exercises.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all therapeutic practices, maintaining the highest approach to patient care.
• Prioritize caseloads, manage daily staffing needs, and facilitate seamless transitions in care between team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The patient population varies in age and activity levels, allowing you to apply diverse treatment methodologies tailored to each individual's physical capabilities and personal goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) is mandatory, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment initiation.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in a therapeutic role is not a prerequisite, a strong willingness to learn and adapt is essential. New graduates and experienced therapists alike are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings, familiarity with rehabilitation technologies, and understanding care for diverse patient demographics are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
