As a full-time member of our rehabilitation facility, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover their mobility and enhance their quality of life. Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Lakewood, New Jersey. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our facility is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and resources to aid in patient recovery and promote an engaging work atmosphere. Collaborating with fellow therapists and interacting with patients in a comfortable setting ensures a productive and fulfilling work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of patients' physical capabilities to establish their goals and treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to design and implement tailored intervention strategies, incorporating advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect improvements and specific needs.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation processes, and the importance of active participation in their treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Motivate patients to engage in their rehabilitation journey and encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyle choices that promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care that optimizes outcomes and addresses all aspects of a patient's health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Edge Handling Physical Therapy, our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgical procedures. You will work with a diverse range of individuals, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals with chronic conditions. Your expertise will be vital in helping them regain their strength, mobility, and confidence, thus enabling them to return to their daily activities and recreational pursuits.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Must hold an active state license as a Physical Therapist and demonstrate knowledge of state regulations.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in physical therapy, specifically in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions on your professional license.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience with developing exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in assessing and treating a diverse range of orthopedic injuries.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to maintain patient documentation efficiently.
• Participation in community outreach programs or educational workshops related to physical therapy and orthopedic health.
