Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract – Potential to Hire) Location: Pico Rivera, CA Pay Rate: $24/hour Industry: Food Manufacturing Overview: A growing food manufacturing company in Pico Rivera is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract basis, with the potential to become permanent. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience in high-volume invoice processing, and familiarity with a full-cycle AP environment. Key Responsibilities Process 500–1,000 invoices per week in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. Verify pricing, quantities, and approvals prior to payment processing. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly. Assist with month‑end closing activities and accruals as needed. Communicate with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely payments. Maintain organized AP files and support audits when required. Qualifications 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Strong understanding of three-way match and invoice processing procedures. Proficient in ERP or accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
