Work Environment\n

The work setting is a remote position supported by our community health clinic, allowing for a unique blend of flexibility and community engagement. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate the varying needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ psychological needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions to address common mental health concerns and promote community among clients.
\n
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support, utilizing de-escalation techniques and immediate counseling for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources available to support their mental wellness.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records in compliance with established legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.
\n
• Keep current with ongoing research and emerging best practices in mental health to continually enhance therapeutic knowledge and skills.

You will work with a diverse clientele that reflects the unique demographics of Salinas and surrounding areas. Our patients come from various backgrounds and experiences, requiring a culturally sensitive approach that acknowledges individual differences. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic techniques, and evidence-based interventions.

• Proven experience conducting mental health assessments and developing comprehensive treatment plans for clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and working collaboratively within a team.

• Strong ethical judgment, including adherence to professional boundaries and understanding of legal standards in mental health practice.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a comfort level with technology in the therapeutic context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
