Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for the 2026-2027 school year, encompassing district-wide placements and specialized programs across elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Openings include roles in assessment, restorative therapeutic settings (Setting III/IV), and ASD center-based classrooms. These positions offer the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to positive student outcomes, and support a diverse population of learners with unique instructional and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide specially designed instruction tailored to student goals and needs
• Conduct ongoing student progress monitoring and maintain detailed records
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
• Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and effective classroom management strategies
• Participate actively in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Ensure compliance with IDEA, Minnesota Special Education law, and district guidelines
• Foster safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field
• Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License, or eligibility through reciprocity
• Proven experience developing and managing IEPs
• Deep knowledge of special education compliance, IDEA, and case management
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience:

• Practice in ASD, resource room, self-contained, setting III/IV, or assessment roles
• Familiarity with PBIS, MTSS, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans
• Experience supporting elementary and/or secondary student populations
• Strong skills in behavior management and crisis intervention
