Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting students with developmental and cognitive delays! This contract role is based at an elementary school center, providing crucial support for a DCD (Developmental and Cognitive Delay) Centerbase program. The position will run from August 26, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with consistent weekday hours and a manageable caseload of elementary students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (must provide a copy with your application)
• Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota licensure in Special Education required
• Experience working with children with developmental and cognitive delays, ideally in an elementary setting
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to elementary-aged students in a center-based DCD setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and engagement
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and the school team to support each child’s development
• Track student progress, prepare reports, and participate in meetings as required
• Maintain all required documentation and compliance with district and state regulations
