Office Services Specialist – Department of Revenue Make a Difference in Your Community The St. Louis County Department of Revenue seeks an Office Services Specialist to join their Recorder of Deeds team. The candidate will perform complex office duties in support of a defined technical function requiring in-depth knowledge of state and local statutes, ordinances, and codes. The well‑qualified candidate will be able to make decisions without close review by a supervisor. Responsibilities Monitor and respond to messages in the public‑facing email inbox in a timely, professional manner. Monitor customer service tickets and communicate with appropriate staff to ensure timely resolution of tickets. Verify, update, and process information and documents based on technical knowledge of relevant policies, statutes, ordinances, and codes. Interact with the general public and County Departmental contacts under adverse conditions as necessary. Provide technical assistance and guidance to employees and the general public. Prepare reports, summaries, and documentation for use at meetings and for processing paperwork. Process and maintain written and computerized records. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Equivalent to three years or more of professional work experience in a general office environment. Candidates must be current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes. Experience working in public service or the government sector is preferred. Experience in customer service is preferred. Benefits Competitive average salary: typical starting salary range is between $16.80 – $20.16 per hour, based on qualifications.
