Position Overview

Western Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our onsite Rehabilitation Facility in Babylon, New York. Work Environment

You will be working in a modern and inviting rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant community of Babylon, NY. You will have the opportunity to work onsite from Monday to Friday, with an afternoon schedule from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered therapeutic care by managing the therapy process for a designated group of patients, working closely with physicians and supporting care teams.

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans that focus on achieving patient-specific goals and enhancing engagement and experience.

• Direct and deliver effective physical therapy interventions tailored to the individual needs of patients, helping them progress through their continuum of care.

• Utilize evidence-based evaluation techniques to assess patients' therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status while actively participating in formulating the holistic plan of care.

• Deliver skilled therapy in the patient's home as required, employing therapeutic procedures that align with the medical team's objectives and the patients' capabilities.

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic practices, including exercises and the use of therapeutic appliances or prosthetic devices, to support rehabilitation outside of therapy sessions.

• Prioritize caseload effectively, assess daily staffing needs, and coordinate patient assignments and hand-offs to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will engage with a varied patient population, including both adults and children undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, post-surgical recovery, and other therapeutic needs. You will have the opportunity to help patients at different stages of recovery, making a meaningful impact on their physical health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days from the start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply—no prior experience is required, making this a great opportunity for recent DPT graduates.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting is beneficial but not necessary.
• Familiarity with patient-centered care methodologies and techniques will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
