Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients presenting with mood disorders to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that address their specific needs, aspirations, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, therapeutic options, and implement self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies in consultation with clients and as dictated by their evolving needs.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients requiring a multi-disciplinary approach.

• Stay up to date with research developments and innovative treatment methods related to mood disorders, striving for continuous improvement in therapeutic practices.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to enhance therapeutic strategies and share insights with colleagues.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma associated with mental health by promoting awareness and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
