Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and reconciling accounts. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. **Job Responsibilities** Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, including issuing invoices, posting payments, and preparing checks. **Other Duties**: Perform additional accounting tasks as assigned by management. Cooperate with their manager / supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company. **Physical Requirements:** * Must be able to use close vision and sit for long periods of time.* High school diploma or equivalent required.* Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.* Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger work.* Familiarity with ERP systems and cloud-based accounting platforms.* Knowledge of tax compliance and financial regulations.**Qualifications & Skills** **Education**: If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001. **Experience**: 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel. **Skills**: Excellent data entry and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
