Structural Steel Procurement ManagerBuild More Than Steel, Build the Supply Chain That Drives It.We're seeking an experienced Structural Steel Procurement Manager to take ownership of material purchasing and supply chain operations for a growing structural steel fabrication company. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to keep fabrication moving and projects on schedule.What You'll DoAs our Procurement Manager, you'll oversee purchasing and material planning for multiple structural steel fabrication projects while serving as the critical connection between estimating, detailing, project management, fabrication, and suppliers.ResponsibilitiesLead procurement activities from project award through completionDevelop purchasing strategiesIssue and manage purchase ordersCoordinate mill-direct and service center purchasingNegotiate pricing, freight, delivery schedules, and supplier agreementsBuild and maintain strong supplier and mill relationshipsMonitor steel market pricing and purchasing trendsMaintain accurate procurement data and reportingWhat We're Looking For Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or materials management within structural steelExpert-level experience with Tekla PowerFab (Tekla EPM)Experience purchasing for multiple concurrent projectsExperience managing large-scale steel buyouts (1,000+ tons)Knowledge of steel mills, service centers, and supply marketsExcellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting AISC-certified fabrication operationsPurchasing experience on projects valued at $5M+Inventory optimization and forecasting experienceLean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement backgroundCompensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, including:Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000+ DOEHealth Insurance401(k)Paid Time OffOpportunities for career growth and leadership
