Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment.
• Manage and maintain central lines while preventing surgical site infections according to policy.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care such as medication administration, nursing interventions, and patient and family education.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and support clinical decision-making.
• Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to comply with standards and improve outcomes.
• Effectively communicate patient information to physicians and healthcare team members to optimize care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Engage with patients and families promptly to improve their experience and support health outcomes.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Experience

At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.

Requirements

• Current RN license valid in the state or through compact licensure; new graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, and other movements required for patient care.
• Comfort working in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases and occasional challenging interactions.
