You will work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, with occasional weekends, supporting our mission to provide exceptional care to our patients.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and develop personalized treatment plans.Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including physicians and healthcare providers, to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients.Maintain meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.Provide education and hands-on training to patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and self-management techniques.Actively participate in community outreach programs, contributing to public education on physical health and wellness.Supervise and mentor support staff, including Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, ensuring high standards of patient care.Engage in ongoing professional development through in-services, workshops, and other educational opportunities.Patient Population / Client FocusThe primary focus of our outpatient clinic includes a varied patient demographic, ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals managing age-related ailments. The diverse conditions treated include orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and neurological disorders. Your clinical expertise will be pivotal in restoring function and enhancing the quality of life for each patient.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.Current state licensure to practice physical therapy in Virginia.Proficient written and verbal communication skills, essential for documenting patient progress and collaborating with the healthcare team.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred ExperienceWhile a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is required, we prefer candidates with a robust background in outpatient orthopedic care. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and familiarity with therapy tools and modalities will be an advantage.Compensation and BenefitsThe position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
