Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, IV certification Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of postpartum experience IV start skills Labor & delivery (L&D) experience EPIC experience Description: Schedule may require floating to units with similar acuity. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of postpartum experience. BLS and IV certifications are required. Candidate should possess IV start skills and have labor & delivery experience. Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred. Travel nursing experience is advantageous but not mandatory. The unit provides family-centered care to women and infants. The RN will be expected to pass an EKG exam prior to the start of employment. Patient care focuses on postpartum patients following vaginal and cesarean deliveries. The unit handles postpartum readmissions such as wound infections and preeclampsia. RN will care for healthy newborns and assess infants with special needs. The role may involve collaboration with various interdisciplinary teams within the facility. Flexibility to cover weekend shifts is required. References from previous employers are necessary, with at least one from a manager or director. Candidates must have completed education from an accredited nursing program.
