Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students with diverse special needs, gathering relevant information to form an accurate picture of their emotional and behavioral health.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's specific needs, aiming for effective integration into the academic community.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a wide range of mental health issues including ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with educational staff and other professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for each student.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, assess risk, and implement immediate strategies to ensure student safety.

• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources to foster a supportive home environment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient records.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, ongoing training, and professional development to enhance service delivery.

• Stay informed about relevant legal and ethical guidelines to ensure best practices in social work is consistently delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with students in special education settings who experience a variety of mental health challenges. This population includes children with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and those who have gone through traumatic experiences. Your interventions will aim to support their emotional and psychological development, ensuring they have the tools to thrive both academically and socially.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New York.

• A strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.

• Ability to conduct detailed mental health assessments and formulating comprehensive treatment plans.

• Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and conducting therapy sessions with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
