Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that take into account each patient's unique cultural and personal background. Develop tailored treatment plans based on these assessments.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions suited to individual needs, which could include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions focused on enhancing emotional resilience and addressing mental health challenges.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide holistic care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s health.

• Provide crisis intervention and stabilizing support during mental health emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about various mental health disorders, available treatment options, and pertinent community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation ensuring compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Actively engage in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and advocating for culturally informed practices.

• Stay abreast of current research and best practices in therapy, with a special focus on cultural competency and inclusion.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license in Texas as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and techniques for culturally competent therapy.

• Experience providing both individual and group therapy utilizing inclusive therapeutic practices.

• Strong crisis intervention capabilities and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with a diverse range of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• A commitment to adherence to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality, and sustaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a multicultural or outpatient psychiatric setting is highly favorable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
