Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Newport News. We offer a supportive work environment tailored to the needs of both our patients and team members. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, either from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, providing a structured schedule that supports work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in a home care environment, interpreting medical histories and physical assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include exercises, stretches, and hands-on therapy aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing mobility.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and equipment to ensure effective treatment delivery.
• Document treatment sessions, patient responses, and progress accurately in our electronic medical record system.
• Regularly reevaluate treatment goals and modify care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Fit patients for assistive devices, when necessary, to enhance self-care and ambulation capabilities.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on appropriate therapy techniques and device usage.
• Stay current with professional practices by participating in workshops, continued education, and professional organizations.

Your work will encompass a diverse range of patients, from children to seniors, all with varying diagnoses and rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

• A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a current state license to practice physical therapy.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a relevant setting, including outpatient rehabilitation or home health care.

• Proficiency in computer technology, particularly in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to varied patient needs and departmental workflows.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
