This position supervises staff, volunteers, and assists with specific duties.Essential Responsibilities:Welcome and direct visitorsMaintain office equipment, order office and janitorial suppliesMaintain and submit weekly deposits and invoices for paymentAssist with preparing and submitting employment applicationsOversee payroll for employeesFile insurance claims and formsCoordinate vehicle records, usage, regular maintenance, and repairsCoordinate mail opening: post and send outgoing mailMaintain master calendar and room usage for programs and eventsMaintain files and records, prepare emailsSupervise custodian and maintenance staff and arrange maintenance contractsAssist with counting of corps incomeAttend meetings and record minutes as requestedAssist with corps programs and events as neededProcess all volunteer applications trained in Safe from Harm, and logging hoursPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Education/Experience:College degree required; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities3 years' experience working in an office environment1-year supervisory experience, preferredSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMaintain strict confidentialityCertificates and Licenses:Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as neededMust have a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR)Part Time (27.5 hours)The Salvation Army offers the following benefits:Health Care Benefits which include:AFLACVoluntary life insurance benefitsPension contributions (currently 6.0% of your earnings) begin the first quarter after 1 year of employment.Vesting starts after three years of employment, 100% vested after five years of employmentThe Salvation Army also offers a 403(b) voluntary retirement savings plan in which you may participate immediately, with approved vendors.
