Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will undertake the following duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, ensuring the establishment of rapport and the maintenance of professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conduct therapeutic sessions in one-on-one and group settings, reviewing progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed throughout each client’s journey.

• Create, implement, and monitor comprehensive person-centered treatment plans, using evidence-based practices aligned with each client’s specific goals.

• Document all client interactions and maintain accurate progress notes to track client development and inform future therapy sessions.
\n
• Perform detailed intake assessments to identify client needs and formulate individualized therapy strategies.

• Regularly participate in individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and integrate feedback into practice.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure integrated care for clients and achieve optimal health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on youth, providing mental health support to adolescents experiencing a variety of challenges including mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma-related issues. The counselor will engage clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that services are tailored to meet varied cultural and social needs through a client-centered approach.

Qualifications\n

• A completed Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

• Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements specific to clinical facilities within our community health clinic.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric populations and/or clients with substance abuse issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
