The  Medical Billing Specialist role in Tracy, CA, is a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on verifying medical eligibility, securing authorizations, and processing claims for medical equipment. 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Eligibility & Authorization: Verify medical eligibility, benefit coverage, and authorization requirements via phone, fax, email, or online portals. 
• Claims Processing: Process medical files and claims within strict deadlines.
• Carrier & Patient Contact: Coordinate with Work Comp carriers, hospitals, and patients to obtain required billing information. 
• Record Keeping: Ensure compliance and accuracy of invoices, track purchase orders, and utilize Microsoft Excel for billing and contract spreadsheets. 

Position Requirements Include: 

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–2 years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Skills: Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute (WPM), strong attention to detail, and Microsoft Office proficiency. 
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. 

Compensation & Benefits: 

• Base Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour 
• Bonuses: Potential to earn $0 - $1,000 in production bonuses and $0 - $1,000 in profit bonuses per month.
