Bookkeeper - Temporary Leave Coverage

Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour

Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for temporary leave coverage from November 1, 2026 through January 30, 2027.

This position will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll support, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate has prior bookkeeping and payroll experience, is highly organized and accurate, and is comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and support regular payroll functions, including reviewing hours and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Enter and reconcile financial transactions
• Perform bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain employee payroll records and related documentation
• Assist with payroll taxes, deductions, and reporting as needed
• Review financial records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
• Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company financial information

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting support experience required
• Hands-on payroll processing experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet recurring deadlines
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Professional communication skills and discretion when handling confidential information
