Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist ready to contribute in a dynamic Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy environment. The role involves rotating shifts, providing a diverse and engaging work schedule, with potential for conversion from contract to permanent employment after 26 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accepting and accurately dispensing prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
• Monitoring patient medication adherence and usage patterns to ensure safe and appropriate use.
• Maintaining confidential patient records with precision and care.
• Advising patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answering inquiries to support patient understanding.
• Offering additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educating patients on the proper use of medical devices including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compounding medications for internal or external use and preparing sterile solutions following stringent protocols.
• Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.
• Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals—physicians, nurses, and pharmacists—to optimize patient care.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Mail Order pharmacy settings preferred.
• Sterile Compounding experience is a strong asset.
• Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license required.
• Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts as scheduled.

Schedule:

• Rotating 10-hour shifts: 6:30am-4:30pm, 9am-7pm, 11am-9pm, and 1pm-11pm every third weekend.
