We specialize in a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders, and collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a community-focused health clinic. You will have the opportunity to engage in regular team meetings and case consultations, ensuring that every patient receives holistic care tailored to their unique needs. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts aligning with patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate developmental considerations and family dynamics, adapting strategies as necessary based on patient progress.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, or family therapy, tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in creating a nurturing and supportive home environment.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists, educators, and community resources to ensure a coordinated approach to care that optimizes patient outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating quick and effective response skills to manage urgent situations.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to promote awareness and support.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in team meetings, case discussions, and staying updated with current research and best practices in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. By utilizing a compassionate and child-centered approach, you will build rapport with young patients, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. You will also work collaboratively with families, ensuring that caregivers are engaged and informed throughout the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a focus on developing rapport and trust.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity towards patients and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient documentation and care coordination.

• A collaborative mindset, ready to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for patients.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, specifically focused on child and adolescent populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
