Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth initial consultations and ongoing assessments to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Document all client interactions thoroughly, from initial evaluations through to treatment conclusion, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Design tailored intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based techniques and client feedback.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing interactive methods to foster participant involvement and promote healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on evaluations and outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate care and optimize client outcomes.

• Follow up with medical providers regarding clients who are hospitalized or require additional support for complex needs.
\n
• Assist family members and caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, offering strategies and resources to support healthy environments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of clients—from children and adolescents to adults—who present with a wide variety of mental health concerns and conditions. This includes anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and addiction. Your compassionate approach and extensive knowledge will be instrumental in building trust and facilitating positive therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW within the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion and passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proven track record of experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for managing client documentation and scheduling.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.

• In-depth understanding of the psychotropic medications prescribed by medical professionals and their impact on patient care.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effective documentation and client interaction.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus.
