Work Environment

Our South River facility is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center designed to provide a supportive and motivating environment for both patients and clinicians. Working Monday through Friday in 40-hour shifts, you will engage actively with your team members and patients, focusing on improving patient outcomes through advanced clinical practices and warmth in patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and implement tailored treatment programs for patients referred by physician specialists, ensuring alignment with their care plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques in rehabilitation practices, including modalities, exercises, and functional training relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and foster lasting relationships with patients, ensuring they feel supported throughout their recovery process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care through shared insights and evidence-based practices.
• Educate and provide consultations to patients and caregivers, empowering them with knowledge to support their recovery journey.
• Meet practice utilization goals while adhering to administrative duties, including documentation and treatment plan updates.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will treat a diverse range of patients, particularly those recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries, as well as individuals affected by neurological conditions, pediatric challenges, and sports-related injuries. Your expertise will be critical in developing both individualized and group therapies, fostering an environment where every patient receives focused care tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in New Jersey.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant field, preferably in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and staff efficiently.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
• Previous involvement in community outreach programs that promote physical health and wellness.
• Background in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and current knowledge of rehabilitation best practices.
