Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients with mood disorders to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, discuss treatment options, and promote healthy self-care practices.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on outcomes and feedback.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive care.

• Stay informed on recent research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to enrich your professional development and enhance treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have faced significant life challenges such as homelessness, trauma, or domestic abuse. Your role will be instrumental in empowering them to overcome these obstacles, fostering resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with clients, highlighting strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathetic approach and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and challenges.
