Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health disorders and develop strategic treatment plans tailored to each patient.
• Implement evidence-based practices for treatment, including the prescription and management of psychotropic medications and regular monitoring of patient responses.
• Deliver various forms of psychotherapy and counseling, utilizing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to address the mental health needs of our residents.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams by participating in regular case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatments, and recovery strategies to empower informed self-care and enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain detailed patient records, documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans based on frequent follow-ups and patient feedback.
• Participate in clinical supervision sessions and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and stay current with advancements in psychiatric care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on residents of our assisted living facility, many of whom may be experiencing complex mental health challenges, including chronic mental illnesses, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. You will work closely with individuals who often face multiple life transitions and health concerns, providing compassionate care to address both their mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric mental health.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.
• Strong ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized care strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an assisted living facility or similar mental health-focused environments.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Proficiency in delivering psychotherapeutic interventions and an understanding of pharmacotherapy for mental health disorders.
• An ability to engage in collaborative practices as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
