Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed medical history assessments and thorough physical examinations of dermatology patients of all ages, ensuring a holistic understanding of every individual’s dermatological health.
• Order and analyze laboratory tests and the results of diagnostic procedures to formulate accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
• Devise and implement tailored treatment programs that align with patient needs and established medical protocols, while ensuring timely follow-ups are conducted.
• Perform dermatological procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and electrodessication and curettage (ED&C), with a high level of proficiency.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including evaluations, chart notes, and billing documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients about their treatment options, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on skincare to foster better patient outcomes.
• Actively contribute to treatment discussions and care plans with dermatologists and other medical professionals, promoting cohesive patient management.
• Provide ongoing dermatology care and follow-up services to ensure continuous improvement in patient health and satisfaction.
• Engage in continuous learning through professional development opportunities, including attending workshops and obtaining relevant certifications in dermatology.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient demographic will encompass individuals of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, presenting with a variety of dermatological conditions. This may include common ailments like acne, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as more complex skin concerns requiring surgical intervention. Your ability to connect with a diverse clientele and provide exceptional care will be vital in enhancing patient satisfaction and treatment effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant state license, ensuring compliance with Texas regulations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, preferably from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification and ongoing education as mandated by professional standards in the field of dermatology.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of hands-on experience in medical dermatology, showcasing your competency in patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
