Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions by thoroughly reviewing their medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and assessing their pain levels accurately.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our team of physicians and specialists to create individualized pain management plans that incorporate a diverse array of treatment modalities, including medication management, physical therapy, and interventional procedures.
• Patient Education: Take the time to educate patients on their specific conditions, available treatment options, and effective pain management techniques to help them participate actively in their own care.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist during various pain management procedures, such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections, ensuring that patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction are prioritized.
• Follow-up Care: Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, while providing ongoing emotional and counseling support along their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physician Assistants will primarily work with patients living with chronic pain, which may include conditions like arthritis, neuropathy, fibromyalgia, and post-surgical pain. Understanding the complexities of this patient population is crucial to developing successful, individualized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Certifications in Pain Management or similar specialties are highly regarded.
