Work Environment

As part of our team, you will work onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center located in the heart of Houston, Texas. This full-time position offers a flexible schedule, allowing for varied hours throughout the week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. You will collaborate closely with licensed physicians and a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to delivering coordinated patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments of patients presenting with both acute and chronic health conditions, including gathering detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and lab results, identifying abnormalities and determining the appropriate course of action in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Develop and implement patient-specific care plans, ordering treatments and prescribing medications within established guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies, fostering a culture of proactive health management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up evaluations using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to facilitate comprehensive patient care, ensuring seamless referrals to specialists and supplementary services.
• Supervise and guide medical assistants in executing their roles to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves a diverse and medically underserved population, including families, children, women, and individuals facing behavioral health challenges. As a Physician Assistant, you will be at the forefront of addressing both immediate health concerns and long-term wellness strategies for our patients, many of whom have limited access to healthcare resources.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Physician Assistant position will hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of two years of clinical experience, particularly in outpatient settings. A valid Physician Assistant license is required.

Preferred Experience

While experience in primary care is highly desirable, candidates with backgrounds in urgent care, pediatrics, or women’s health will also be considered advantageous. Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare regulations is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
