Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify the underlying causes and severity of pain, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and patient history.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate a multidisciplinary approach, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
• Utilize a wide array of pain management techniques, which may include medication management, alternative therapies, and interventional procedures such as nerve blocks and injections.
• Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of adherence to their treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and advocate for patients’ needs within the healthcare system.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating effective communication among the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve adult patients struggling with chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathy, back pain, and post-surgical pain. Many of our patients may come from underserved communities, requiring a compassionate approach to care delivery that recognizes social determinants of health influencing their conditions.

Qualifications

• A valid Nurse Practitioner certification and an active nursing license in the state of Texas.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, especially in pain management, community health, or public health settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to healthcare equity, social justice, and advocacy for vulnerable populations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or similar medical specialty.

Compensation and Benefits
