About The Team On the Outside Account Development team, we expand on existing DoorDash partnerships, while identifying opportunities for further engagement, growth, and performance on our platform. We learn more about the merchant's business and growth goals, to build a path to success and increased ROI, while accommodating the variable needs of our partners. About The Role We're looking for outside sales executives to join us in an associate Strategic Account Development Executive role focused on franchisees. You will connect existing franchised merchant partners with new powerful tools on the DoorDash delivery platform, ensure the partnership terms make sense for both DoorDash and the merchant, ensure sustained success and increased sales, and report to the Manager of Strategic Account Development in our Outside Sales organization. The role is flexible with some time in-office (1‑2 days/week), some time in the field (up to once per month), time working from home, and may include trade shows and conferences. Responsibilities Run your end‑to‑end sales process, from discovery to complex pipeline management. Excite existing accounts about the potential to increase revenue share. Engage with strategic decision makers, including C‑suite, VPs, and business owners, using data to tell a compelling story. Close partners on upgrades, upsells, and cross‑sells of DoorDash platform products and marketing promotions. Use internal data and unit economics to explain forecasted revenue growth and offer customized sales packages. Build an internal guide for the team's sales process. Collaborate with regional Strategic Partner Managers to close and re‑negotiate sales terms. Provide feedback and strategy recommendations to leadership. Travel across your region (up to once per month). Offer flexible hours and options to work from home. Qualifications 3+ years of sales experience, with at least 1+ year selling to an existing client base (upsell, cross‑sell, promotions, or expansions). Experience in an outside sales environment, leading an end‑to‑end sales cycle. Ability to manage project timelines and expectations or related project‑management experience. Knowledge of Excel, and related data skills to create sales presentations. Owner of client‑facing conversations and complex negotiations. Compensation Base salary localized by work location. Total on‑target earnings (base + commissions) range from $127,800 to $188,000 USD. Equity grants may also be offered. Paid Time Off For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year. For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
