Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship difficulties.

• Complete comprehensive diagnostic assessments, collaborating with clients to establish treatment plans that set specific, achievable goals to support their journey towards improved mental health.

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, actively participating in case consultations with psychiatrists, social workers, and educators to ensure that clients receive well-rounded care that meets their unique needs.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) while abiding by HIPAA regulations, ensuring timely documentation that reflects clients’ progress and treatment plans.

• Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development through continuing education, keeping abreast of best practices and innovations in mental health treatment to maintain licensure.

• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as necessary, equipping yourself with the skills to handle challenging situations effectively and empathetically.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing a diverse range of mental health issues, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, and family dynamics. Our client population encompasses adults, adolescents, and families who seek help in navigating the complexities of their mental health. Recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, our approach is tailored, centering on their individual stories and needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years' direct experience in providing counseling services to individuals, groups, and families.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in electronic health record documentation and relevant technologies, which helps streamline your workflow and enhance client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with trauma-informed care and specific therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

• Familiarity with community resources and support services available in the Syracuse area to assist clients in their recovery.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
