To support this vision, we are seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Executive Assistant (EA) II to join King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT).
As an Executive Assistant, you will provide comprehensive, high-level administrative support to the Department Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other senior leaders within KCIT, applying specialized administrative expertise, sound judgment, and exceptional organizational skills. The EA to the CIO acts as an extension of leadership, maximizing executive productivity by managing complex schedules, overseeing internal processes, and handling confidential information while modeling the administration's values by serving with integrity and initiative, and approaching challenges with a collaborative mindset.
This role requires strong attention to detail, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings a continuous improvement mindset, actively seeks opportunities to enhance workflows and streamline processes, and demonstrates flexibilityincluding the ability to adjust start and end times as needed to accommodate rapidly changing schedules and multiple priorities.
We work in the office at least three days a week to foster connection and responsiveness. We arrive prepared and on time, structure meetings with clear goals and next steps, and represent the Executive with professionalismincluding responsible social media conduct. Across all interactions, we listen first, act quickly, and stay aligned as a team to earn and sustain public trust.
