Work Environment

The work setting is an onsite rehabilitation facility equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and resources to support patient rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions, history, and overall health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Guide patients in performing active and passive exercises, strengthening programs, and functional activities to improve daily living skills.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, self-management strategies, and preventatives of injury recurrence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed based on ongoing evaluations.
• Engage in team meetings and case discussions to ensure coherence in patient management and optimal care delivery.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities including massage, stretching, and therapeutic activities to maximize recovery outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult and elderly patients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Many of our clients seek rehabilitation services post-surgery for joint replacement or ligament repairs, requiring specialized care to regain strength and function. Additionally, you will provide preventive care and education to help patients improve their overall physical health and avoid future injuries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
• Holding an active State Physical Therapy license for Florida.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating proficiency in rehabilitation practices.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with an ability to utilize evidence-based practices effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation facility is preferred.
• Certification or additional training in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
