Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and crisis interventions to assess the needs of patients effectively.

• Coordinate the disposition of patients to ensure they receive the appropriate level of mental health services.

• Engage in group treatment sessions on mental health observation units, facilitating discussions and support among peers.

• Complete statistical reporting and required documentation accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to facilitate access to treatment for incarcerated individuals and coordinate proper housing post-release.

• Participate in clinical supervision sessions weekly with your Clinical Supervisor, refining your skills and discussing case management strategies.
\n
• Contribute to case conferences to develop treatment plans for patients who are receiving or being evaluated for mental health care.
\n
• May supervise social work interns or student volunteers, providing guidance and support as they gain practical experience.
\n
• Engage in mental health and medical rounds to stay informed about patient progress and treatment updates.
\n
• Execute psychological testing as assigned, utilizing appropriate tools and methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Proven experience in mental health counseling and case management with a strong foundation in crisis intervention and evaluation techniques.

• Strong understanding of community resources and mental health support systems.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valiant Mind Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000–130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
