Make a difference in the lives of students by providing essential behavior support and educational guidance in a dynamic middle school setting. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to positively impact students aged 11-14, guiding a manageable caseload of 5-10 learners. You’ll serve as a Special Education Case Manager, collaborating closely with staff and families to foster growth and achievement throughout the school year.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid teaching certification with Multicategorical or Emotional Disabilities (ED) endorsement
- Proven experience or coursework related to Special Education teaching practices
- Ability to support and manage behavior goals for middle school students
- Compassion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners
- Comfortable using virtual platforms for collaboration and meetings
- Commitment to a contract assignment through May 2027 (or until notified of contract end)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and behavior intervention for students on your caseload
- Act as Case Manager: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and support staff
- Track progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and adhere to all timelines
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment at a single middle school campus
- Participate in virtual interviews and meetings as required
