We're building a world-class team to solve this crisis.The Role — Sr. Technical RecruiterThe Technical Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring top talent across our engineering, process, and technical operations teams. You'll partner closely with our founders and technical leaders to scale a world-class team during a pivotal growth period as we commission our Alameda facility and expand toward commercial production. This role requires a strong executor with experience recruiting for technical and manufacturing roles, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a track record of closing highly competitive candidates in specialized, hard-to-fill functions.What You'll DoPartner with hiring managers across process engineering, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing operations to understand hiring needs, technical requirements, and team dynamicsDevelop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to attract top talent across rare earths, metallurgy, chemical and process engineering, mechanical engineering, and advanced manufacturingOwn the end-to-end recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interview management, and offer negotiationBuild and maintain strong pipelines of technical candidates for both immediate and future hiring needs as we scale from pilot to commercial productionConduct in-depth candidate assessments, evaluating both technical capability and alignment with our mission and valuesProvide market insights on talent trends, compensation benchmarks, and the competitive landscape across cleantech, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing to inform hiring decisionsDeliver a high-quality candidate experience with clear communication and strong process executionOwn our applicant tracking system (Ashby) and continuously improve workflows, templates, and reportingTrack recruiting activity, funnel metrics, and hiring outcomes to continuously improve performanceWhat You BringRequiredTechnical recruiting experience in a startup, in-house manufacturing environment or recruiting agency (focused on technical recruiting)Proven success hiring for technical roles (e.g., process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, metallurgy, operators, and technicians)Strong ability to partner with and influence founders, engineering leaders, and technical stakeholdersSolid understanding of technical roles, skill sets, and hiring landscapes in hard tech or advanced manufacturingExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to assess technical talent and calibrate effectively with hiring teamsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple searches in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentData-driven mindset with a focus on delivering resultsPreferredExperience recruiting in rare earths, metallurgy, recycling, battery materials, or semiconductor industriesExperience recruiting hourly/non-exempt operators and technicians in addition to engineering rolesExperience building recruiting and TA processes at an early stage companyCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-provided lunch dailyVisa sponsorship available if needed
