Providence Health Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant to enhance our Primary Care practice. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a diverse range of health conditions while promoting optimal health practices. Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite in our dynamic hospital-based Primary Care outpatient office, enjoying a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, closing at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients' medical histories to inform diagnostic decisions.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and imaging studies to confirm diagnoses and track patient health.
• Diagnose a variety of health conditions, from acute to chronic illnesses, ensuring comprehensive assessment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for diseases, both chronic and infectious, while considering patient-specific factors.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and monitor their efficacy and any potential side effects through ongoing patient assessments.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and follow-up care in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and disease prevention strategies to promote engagement in their own care.
• Advocate for wellness and preventive measures, helping patients adopt healthier lifestyles.
• Engage in continuous professional development and research to remain current in medical practices and legislation changes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Providence Health Clinic, you will serve a diverse patient population ranging from children to seniors, providing care that addresses both acute and chronic health needs. You will play a crucial role in managing ongoing health conditions and guiding patients through wellness strategies, ensuring an inclusive approach to healthcare that appreciates the varied backgrounds of our community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is preferred.
• A valid State Physician Assistant license in Florida is required, along with current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• A DEA number is mandatory to prescribe medications.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in settings such as hospitals, clinics, or emergency rooms, with demonstrable proficiency in primary care.
• Strong knowledge of health and patient care regulations, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, patience, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in primary care, urgent care, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
• Proficient understanding of chronic and acute illness management.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus, enhancing communication with our diverse patient base.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
