A unique opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make an impact with a supportive Pre-K classroom. This contract role offers an on-site position working with young learners in a specialized setting focused on students with autism. Travel professionals are encouraged to apply, as relocation is recommended for this rewarding assignment.
Start your role as soon as possible, with the contract running through the end of the school year in late May, 2027. You’ll commit to a consistent daytime schedule—Monday through Friday, from 7:45am to 3:15pm—at a single campus serving six Pre-K students who require individualized attention, including support with toileting and daily living skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Educator Certification in Special Education (Pre-K emphasis welcomed)
- Experience or strong interest in working with children diagnosed on the autism spectrum
- Current credentials and required documentation (prepared to provide at interview)
- Capability and willingness to assist with toileting and self-care for young children
- Positive references reflecting professionalism and compassion
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each child’s needs, with a focus on early childhood special education
- Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
- Collect data and document student progress
- Communicate proactively with parents and the school team
