Step into a meaningful contract opportunity working with elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a self-contained classroom. Located in a supportive school environment, this full-time, on-site role is ideal for experienced educators with a passion for making a lasting impact. Specialists trained in supporting K–5th grade students—including those with autism or personal care needs—will find this assignment both rewarding and enriching. With a manageable caseload of 12 students and a dedicated paraprofessional for assistance, you’ll be empowered to deliver high-quality, individualized education.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified as a Special Education Teacher (Educator Certification required; must provide documentation)
• Experience in elementary special education settings, particularly self-contained classrooms
• Comfortable supporting students with autism and assisting with some toileting requirements
• Ability to collaborate with support staff and adapt teaching strategies to varied learning needs
• Candidates open to travel assignments are encouraged

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in grades K–5
• Provide direct instruction tailored for diverse learning styles and exceptionalities
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom with clear communication and behavior supports
• Collaborate with the paraprofessional on daily routines, personal care, and classroom management
• Communicate frequently with families, staff, and school administrators regarding student progress
