Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews, performing comprehensive assessments to document the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of clients, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, engaging clients in both individual and group therapy settings, and utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities to foster healing and recovery.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring clients remain on track towards achieving their mental health goals.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize treatment outcomes.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization to ensure continuity of care and to support client recovery.
\n
• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder a client’s recovery journey, providing education and strategies to both clients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele includes a diverse range of individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is necessary.

• An achieved passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, with a proven track record in conducting evaluations and delivering therapy.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to document and manage client information efficiently.

• Experience with clients suffering from co-occurring conditions, including physical health issues and substance use disorders.

• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of psychotropic medications commonly prescribed by healthcare providers.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to foster rapport and trust with clients.

• A compassionate nature and exceptional interpersonal skills, essential for connecting with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus available.
