Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to identify clients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and challenges, ensuring personalized care from the outset.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with clients' goals and therapeutic needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing a variety of effective modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

• Regularly monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting therapeutic strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and support relevant changes in plans.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists and primary care physicians—to ensure a holistic approach to clients’ mental health care.

• Advocate for clients’ rights and facilitate access to community resources, ensuring they receive the comprehensive support they need.

• Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards as defined by state licensing boards and professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals dealing with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and related emotional challenges, navigating the complexities of their mental health journeys. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and your respectful, culturally competent approach will be essential in building trust and rapport that encourage meaningful progress.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders, with proficiency in CBT and DBT.

• Strong foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Documented success in achieving positive outcomes for clients struggling with mood disorders, showcasing your dedication to impactful therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience with teletherapy is strongly desired, as this role will heavily utilize technology to deliver care. Background in community mental health settings or previous roles that required collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
