Payroll Specialist
Ready to take your payroll experience beyond the traditional payroll function ? Our client in the Vancouver area is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its supportive accounting team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This is an opportunity to take ownership of payroll while developing valuable, broader accounting experience.
In this role, you will:
Payroll Specialist
Ready to take your payroll experience beyond the traditional payroll function ? Our client in the Vancouver area is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its supportive accounting team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This is an opportunity to take ownership of payroll while developing valuable, broader accounting experience.
In this role, you will:
- Take ownership of recurring payroll processing and deadlines
- Review timesheets and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to payroll-related questions
- Prepare reports and reconciliations
- Support journal entries and related accounting tasks
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and special projects
Prior AP\/AR experience is not required . What matters is that you are dependable, think through problems, manage deadlines , and are genuinely interested in learning beyond payroll .
To be considered for this Payroll Specialist opportunity, you will need:- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Effective time management
- Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Excel skills
